We hope you'll join us for this MEGA Multi-Chamber Mixer at the beautiful Crossvines! The Crossvines is a dining and golf destination, event space, custom crush facility, research vineyard, and learning hub all-in-one, intertwining new venture and excitement with Maryland's rich farming history.

Your ticket includes fantastic networking with EIGHT Chambers of Commerce, appetizers, & door prize ticket. Cash bar will be available.

Join the Centered Self community for an afternoon of relaxation! Participants will engage in gentle mindful movement, guided meditation, and a soothing sound bath experience. In this session, your guide will play beautifully tuned crystal quartz singing bowls, chimes, drums, gongs and other instruments to facilitate more relaxed healing states. 

Come as you are and participate as you are able. No specific experience is required to benefit from this restorative space! 

Cost: $27

What to bring: yoga mat, water, journal.

Facilitated by Denise Fredericks (Mercy Health Clinic) and Deborah Zimmer (Universities at Shady Grove), this group will explore professional development and strategic planning topics specifically of interest to our GGCC Nonprofit members, as well as highlight one of our members each month! The group will meet with 2nd Monday each month (time might vary by month), on zoom for now.

June program:

Rebekah Taravella, USG Mentorship Program Manager and SHRM-certified HR professional, will present our Summer Session Q&A on in-house human resources processes such as being a better manager, the value of performance evaluations, and why you should not ghost candidates.                  

Rebekah is a champion for effective recruiting and the importance of facilitating next generation career journeys. She has a Master's degree in Teaching, and has worked in HR administration, managed corporate work study programs, and is designing and implementing a mentorship program at USG.                

The floor will be open for questions, or you can submit them in advance to dzimmer@umd.edu      

Direct Connect groups are member-led affinity groups that strategically connect smaller groups of GGCC members. More information here.

Join us for this quarterly "Up Upcounty" breakfast series! Each session will include a guest speaker - an elected official or civic leader - to engage in discussion about needs and opportunities in the northern-most footprint of the Upcounty and of GGCC's service footprint, and we'll enjoy great networking of course. Thank you to Hornet's Nest Grille for coffee and breakfast! Free to members! Please join us!

This June session will be a MD State Legislative Session recap with our most local State Senators.
