The Membership Attraction and Retention (MAR) Committee is charged with: maintaining a strong growth in membership through targeted new member recruitment activities that effectively communicate the value of membership to community businesses; Promoting the ongoing value of membership to member businesses through personalized contacts with member business representatives and other initiatives that monitor member needs, member satisfaction, and their perception of Chamber Value; communicating the Return On Investment to Members and engaging them in GGCC activities.

Business Card Exchange Lunch: Asbury BBQ Picnic
You’re invited to a BBQ Business Card Exchange Lunch with event sponsors: Asbury Methodist Village, BrightView & Sodexo. This lunch is not like any other you have been to. There will be networking (OF COURSE), a BBQ, tours of Asbury, and an opportunity to play bocce ball, shuffleboard, croquet, pickleball, and/or horseshoes!
This will be a fun, interactive networking event you won’t want to miss!! The event will be held rain or shine.
Please enter Asbury using the Odendhal Avenue entrance. The event will take place on the lawn behind the Hefner Community Center. The event will be held inside Hefner Community Center in case of rain. Special event signs will guide you to the location once you have entered the campus.

Gaithersburg Police Foundation TOPGOLF Fundraiser
Welcome to the Gaithersburg Police Foundation TOPGOLF Fundraiser! Join us for a fun-filled evening at TOPGOLF where you can show off your golfing skills while supporting a great cause. This in-person event is a fantastic opportunity to mingle with fellow community members, enjoy delicious food and drinks, rafffle prizes, and participate in exciting golf challenges. Your participation will directly benefit the Gaithersburg Police Department and help make a positive impact in our community. Don't miss out on this chance to have a blast while giving back!
This event raises money for the nonprofit organization supporting the Gaithersburg Police Department. Formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2008, the Gaithersburg Police Foundation seeks to support the Gaithersburg Police Department with its mission to provide quality services to the residents of Gaithersburg. The Foundation raises funds to offer educational opportunities for the police department staff, enhances recruitment and retention of officers, provides logistical support to officers, provides technology assistance, and helps to finance community outreach initiatives.

The GGCC will honor local heroes from Public Safety personnel of the Upcounty for their courageous, life-saving actions at the 30th Annual Public Safety Awards Breakfast.
We invite you to this time-honored tradition as we recognize the heroic deeds of our local law enforcement and fire-rescue workers at our Annual Public Safety Awards Breakfast on Thursday, June 27th at 7:30 a.m. at the Montgomery County Agricultural Center, 16 Chestnut Street, Gaithersburg.
These men and women go above and beyond the call of duty to serve our local community and we want them to know we appreciate them and their hard work.

Facilitated by Denise Fredericks (Mercy Health Clinic) and Deborah Zimmer (Universities at Shady Grove), this group will explore professional development and strategic planning topics specifically of interest to our GGCC Nonprofit members, as well as highlight one of our members each month! The group will meet with 2nd Monday each month (time might vary by month), on zoom for now.

Ayda Sanver will be our speaker for July - as a consultant for Catchafire, she supports nonprofits on various needs. This month's program will focus on budgeting and financials (how to do it, overhead and direct costs, what does a balance sheet tell you, etc) for the nonprofit leader who is not a finance guru.
Direct Connect groups are member-led affinity groups that strategically connect smaller groups of GGCC members. More information here.
