Germantown is a wonderfully diverse community. We need your help to craft the vision, mission and core values that will guide us into the future of the Town Center in Germantown. We invite you to join us and help influence our direction, voice your ideas and meet your neighbors!

This meeting is a follow-up to the Community Visioning Workshop held on 2/26. The Germantown Town Center team at the Chamber will present the findings from the Workshop and subsequent survey results, and present a draft mission/vision/values for our Town Center. We will begin the “branding” process at this meeting as well!

Join Mathnasium for an exciting Pi Day celebration on March 14th, 2025! This free, family-friendly event will feature interactive math stations, Pi-themed games, complimentary pizza from Papa John’s, and a Pi Day Champion contest with fun challenges.

TOPIC: Montgomery County Grants Program

SPEAKER: RAFAEL MURPHY,

DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF GRANTS MANAGEMENT

Director Murphy will give insight to grants available today, upcoming grants, steps to prepare for grants and how the grants will be reviewed and approved, as the process has changed for 2025. 

The Office of Grants Management was established by the County Council through Bill 36-19 in July of 2021. This Office will provide the County with a localized hub regarding all grant related issues in Montgomery County government. OGM is the principal point of contact regarding all grants that the county receives or awards, in addition to providing instruction regarding grants management, developing policies and procedures related to grants management, and performing outreach to educate the public regarding county grants.

The Economic Development & Legislative Affairs Committee will explore various topics. The monthly meeting (3rd Wednesday, 8:30am) will be virtual with a speaker unless we note an in-person opportunity to be in the community.  

 

 

Through the Gaithersburg-Germantown Economic Development & Legislative Affairs (ED&LA) Committee, the Chamber will proactively work with City, County and State Leaders to support the Economic Development of Gaithersburg, Germantown and surrounding jurisdictions, and represent the GGCC and its members in a pro-active manner in the formulation of state and local legislation and policy affecting the business community. These meetings are open to all members to attend and learn more about the various economic and legislative topics impacting businesses in our area.

  

The Health & Wellness Direct Connect is designed for like-minded business owners committed to learning, growing, and driving success together. This intimate group will focus on exchanging insights, solving problems collaboratively, and holding each other accountable in a confidential and supportive environment.

The Membership Attraction and Retention (MAR) Committee is charged with: maintaining a strong growth in membership through targeted new member recruitment activities that effectively communicate the value of membership to community businesses; Promoting the ongoing value of membership to member businesses through personalized contacts with member business representatives and other initiatives that monitor member needs, member satisfaction, and their perception of Chamber Value; communicating the Return On Investment to Members and engaging them in GGCC activities.
