SPEAKER: County Council President Sidney Katz

Council President Katz has been hosting weekly Business Briefings with the community, covering a broad array of topics impacting the business community. He will share his insights on our local economy and share some of the plans going forward towards recovery. Council President Katz has been a long-time friend of the Chamber and the business community. Join in the conversation!

Being home has given us a lot of time for home projects - remodeling, painting, reorganizing, & gardening.

Healthy soil is the basis of healthy plants and a healthy garden. When garden soil is in good shape, there is less need for fertilizers or pesticides. Join us for "All the Dirt on Soil" with J.B. Kline Landscaping. In this class, our Master Gardener will be talking about how to build healthy soil and how to create nutrient-rich compost for your garden.

Additionally, they will be educating everyone on the new pesticide laws in Montgomery County that went into effect over the last year. The new laws effect both residential homes and commercial properties. The laws were passed during the winter when most people weren’t thinking about their lawns or landscape. J.B. Kline has noticed a big gap in the public knowledge of what is entailed with the new laws. They will inform everyone on what the new laws are specifically, what to expect as a result, best practices, and alternative products they can use instead.

Montgomery County Re-Opening Phase II Resource Webinar

SPEAKER: Maryland Comptroller, Peter Franchot

TOPIC: Status of the State's Budget. How are we doing given the health emergency and the economic crisis we are facing? 

This is a great opportunity to talk with Comptroller Franchhot who has always been a great friend of the business community.
